Packers vs. Browns gameday: Tailgating events, broadcast information and bar band lineups
The Packers host the Cleveland Browns in a late-afternoon contest this Sunday, Oct. 20. Here’s all the info you need to know if you’re planning on being at Lambeau or in the Green Bay area for some tailgatin’.
Kickoff: 3:25 p.m. CT.
Radio: WIXX 101.1 FM (Green Bay area); WTMJ 620 AM (Milwaukee).
Announcers: Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots.
Gameday events at Lambeau (all information courtesy Packers.com):
Being a late game, there’s a few minor changes to Lambeau Field’s gameday schedule. The Lambeau Field Atrium, Packers Pro Shop, Curly’s Pub and Packers Hall of Fame all open at 11 a.m.
However, the Lambeau Field parking lot and Tundra Tailgate Zone (which is open to the public) open at 11:25 a.m. (or four hours before kickoff) on Sunday.
A few selected fan walkway activities (located from Oneida Street to the Oneida Nation Gate on the east side of Lambeau): FABCO CAT is offering equipment displays and photo opportunities; Kohl’s, as always, has materials for sign-making; Packers Pro Shop gear is for sale; the Wisconsin Lottery has select giveaway items; American Family Insurance offers a chance to win a $100 gift card to the Packers Pro Shop; and Grand Central Station has information on their Fueling Rewards Network.
Additionally, in support of the 27th Annual Packers Women’s Association (PWA) Food Drive for Paul’s Pantry, members of the association will be around the parking lot accepting cash donations for the cause.
Also throughout the Lambeau Field parking lot, bins will be available for fans to donate non-perishable food items. For every $5 or five food items donated, fans will get a ticket for a chance to win autographed Packers gear. The winning ticket will be displayed in the stadium during the third and fourth quarters. So bring some non-perishable food items for a good cause!
Giveaway item: Nothing this week.
Alternate unis: The Packers will be wearing their special third uniforms, re-creations of the team’s uniforms in 1929, the season of their first world championship. The uniforms feature navy blue tops and tan pants. But, unlike the solid brown helmets of recent year’s past, the Packers, in accordance with new NFL helmet rules, will wear their usual gold helmet without logos and stripes.
The National Anthem will be performed by country music singer Katrina Elam.
Halftime features a Culver’s Quarterback Challenge between two fans and Oneida Nation hoop dancers.
Area bar entertainment:
Stadium View Bar & Grille: Cover band Oil Can Harry performs.
Anduzzi’s: WAPL’s Rockin’ Apple Tailgate Party starts 3 ½ hours before kickoff and, for $20, offers all-you-can-eat food and all-you-can-drink Miller Lite. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at WAPL.com. Rock band Star Six Nine performs.
The Bar (Holmgren Way): Pop rock band Dot Dot Dot performs after the game.
Kroll’s West: Swing/funk band Shaker and the Egg performs before the game.
Enjoy the game, and Go Pack!
