Packers vs. Lions kickoff: Gameday events, broadcast information and bar band lineups
Lambeau Field hosts its second game of the year when the Packers welcome the Detroit Lions this Sunday, Oct. 6.
Here’s all the info you need to know if you’re planning on being at Lambeau or in the Green Bay area for, you know, tailgating purposes.
The Broadcast:
Kickoff: Noon.
Radio: WIXX 101.1 FM (Green Bay area); WTMJ 620 AM (Milwaukee).
TV: Fox.
Announcers: Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa.
Gameday events at Lambeau (all information courtesy Packers.com):
The Lambeau Field parking lot and atrium, Packers Pro Shop, Curly’s Pub and Tundra Tailgate Zone (which is open to the public) all open at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
A few selected fan walkway activities (located from Oneida Street to the Oneida Nation Gate on the east side of Lambeau) of note: Burlington Coat Factory is offering face painting; Kohl’s has materials to make signs to bring into the game; Southwest Airlines has various contests to compete in.
Near the Bellin Health entrance, the American Cancer Society will have a booth offering pink ribbons for $5. (Players will also be implementing pink into their uniforms this week.)
Giveaway item at the gates: Kohl’s Cares Pink Towels.
The National Anthem will be performed by the University of Wisconsin Marching Band.
Flyover? According to the Packers’ website, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will fly over Lambeau after the National Anthem.
Halftime features a Culver’s Quarterback Challenge between two fans and a performance from Wisconsin’s Marching Band, who will also stick around for the 5th Quarter at the end of the game.
Area bar entertainment:
Stadium View Bar & Grille: Rock band The Outer Vibe performs after the game. No cover charge.
Anduzzi’s: WAPL’s Rockin’ Apple Tailgate Party starts 3 ½ hours before kickoff and, for $20, offers all-you-can-eat food and all-you-can-drink Miller Lite. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at WAPL.com. Rock band Ask Your Mother also performs.
The Bar (Holmgren Way): The Glam Band, an ‘80s rock group, performs after the game.
Kroll’s West: Nashville Pipeline performs before the game. Open to the public. (Approx. start time at 8 a.m.)
