Packers vs. Eagles gameday: Tailgating events, broadcast information and bar band lineups
The Green Bay Packers have played half of their regular season games, and begin a tougher-than-expected stretch now, without all-universe quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the near future, on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles.
There’s a lot going on at Lambeau Field both before and during the game, and bands at many of the nearby bars. Here’s your Week 10 Green Bay gameday rundown.
Kickoff: Noon CT.
Radio: WIXX 101.1 FM (Green Bay area); WTMJ 620 AM (Milwaukee); WestwoodOne Sports nationwide.
TV: Fox.
Announcers: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver.
Gameday events at Lambeau (all information courtesy Packers.com):
In accordance with their four hours before kickoff policy, the Lambeau Field parking lot will open at 8 a.m. The Tundra Tailgate Zone, open to all fans with or without tickets, also opens at 8.
Everything else, from the Lambeau Field Atrium to Curly’s Pub to the Packers Pro Shop and Hall of Fame, all open up at 8 a.m. on Sunday. Gates to the stadium open at 10 a.m.
A few selected fan walkway activities (located from Oneida Street to the Oneida Nation Gate on the east side of Lambeau): FABCO CAT is displaying equipment and offering photo opportunities, Kohl’s has sign-making materials available, the Packers Pro Shop is showcasing a special selection of merchandise, American Family Insurance is offering a chance to enter to win a $100 gift card to the Packers Pro Shop, Old Wisconsin gives you the chance to win an Instant Tailgate Inflatable, and NWTC will have a military Hummer on display.
Specials for this week: The Packers will be putting on a Salute to Service Military Appreciation card stunt during the National Anthem, and they need all fans in attendance to help.
For this, we’ll quote directly from Packers.com:
“As part of the card stunt, which will honor members of the military, fans will turn Lambeau Field into a ring of camouflage with a message of “Packers Salute Military.” The card stunt will need participation from game attendees seated in the stadium bowl. Game attendees will find a card taped to their seat with directions indicating when to hold it up and which side to have facing up. Fans will be prompted by a group at the bottom of their sections holding up cue cards instructing them when to hold up their cards. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to participate.”
Essentially, this is what you’ll be going for.
An additional special Salute to Service activity includes the opportunity to write and send letters to military service members and their families worldwide in the Red Cross’s Holiday Mail for Heroes program. This will take place inside the Lambeau Field Atrium from 8 a.m. until halftime of the game.
Also, Sargento Foods will be accepting donations along the fan walkway of nonperishable food items for their Touchdowns for Charity Food Drive. Along with cheese samples on-hand, Packers Hall of Fame linebacker Dave Robinson will be signing autographs for those who donate between 9-11 a.m.
Giveaway item: Flags, courtesy Ticketmaster.
The National Anthem will be performed by Korbee, the duo comprised of Tom and Jenn Korbee.
There will be no flyover.
As usual, halftime features a Culver’s Quarterback Challenge between two fans. Additionally, in light of the Salute to Service celebration (and weather permitting), a parachute team made up of military veterans will parachute into Lambeau Field.
