Packers vs. Steelers gameday: Tailgating events, broadcast information and bar band lineups
So, after Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Turner drilled a 61-yard field goal into the corner pocket of the uprights, the Green Bay Packers regular season home finale has certainly increased in importance, wouldn’t you say?
We’ll have more on the game itself in this week’s Four Downs preview, but here’s what’s going on in and around Lambeau Field on the last Green Bay gameday of the regular season. Make it count, folks.
Kickoff: 3:25 p.m. CT.
Radio: WIXX 101.1 FM (Green Bay area); WTMJ 620 AM (Milwaukee); WestwoodOne Sports nationwide.
TV: CBS.
Announcers: Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots.
Gameday events at Lambeau (all information courtesy Packers.com):
In accordance with their four hours before kickoff policy, the Lambeau Field parking lot will open at 11:25 a.m. The Tundra Tailgate Zone, open to all fans with or without tickets, also opens at 11:25.
Everything else, from the Lambeau Field Atrium to Curly’s Pub to the Packers Pro Shop all open up at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Gates to the stadium still open at 10 a.m.
The only major difference to note here is that the Packers Hall of Fame is closed for moving and renovations until April 2015.
A few selected fan walkway activities (located from Oneida Street to the Oneida Nation Gate on the east side of Lambeau): FABCO CAT has equipment on display, Kohl’s offers their customary sign-making materials for the game, the Packers Pro Shop will have select items available, and Kraft will offer photo opportunities with the Noodle, which is, as maybe you guessed, a giant noodle.
Specials for this week: It’s Fan Appreciation Day at Lambeau, and be sure to check your tickets, as the winner of the Packers Everywhere 2013 Ticket Takeover Contest is eight-year-old Emily Sperduto of Oxford, N.J.
Sperduto was selected among over 8,000 photo entries, and her winning picture will be on this week’s game tickets.
Also, during the game the Packers will be giving out Kohl’s gift cards and Ariens snowblowers to commemorate Fan Appreciation Day.
Giveaway item: A photo of the 2013 Packers team.
The National Anthem will be performed by lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, Johnny Rzeznik. Here is the Goo Goo Dolls’ song that you know you know.
There will be no flyover this week.
Halftime festivities include behind-the-scenes video, a contest put on by Packer Fan Tours, and an Ultimate Lambeau Leapcompetition.

Area bar entertainment:
Stadium View Bar & Grille: Rock band Annex plays after the game in the banquet hall.
Anduzzi’s: WAPL’s Rockin’ Apple Tailgate Party starts 3 ½ hours before kickoff and, for $20, offers all-you-can-eat food and all-you-can-drink Miller Lite. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at WAPL.com. In addition, Anduzzi’s is going with double-barrel bands, as The Cougars Band plays pregame starting at 9 a.m. and cover band Star Six Nine plays after the game starting at 6:30.
D2 Sports Pub: 80s cover band Toe Knee V’s performs outside in the tent.
The Bar (Holmgren Way): Funk band Shaker and the Egg gets started after the game.
Kroll’s West: The parking lot and requisite tailgating activities will be starting early and ending late, but we’re not sure at the time of this writing which band will be performing. Might as well just show up, have a beer or two, and find out.
Go Pack!
