Packers unveil new design for Lambeau Field Atrium
The Green Bay Packers released the final preview for what the Lambeau Field Atrium entrance and Harlan Plaza will look like when construction is completed in July, and it looks pretty great.
The designs, released via the team’s website on Tuesday, show the new ground-level Packers Pro Shop entrance as well as accompanying new parking spaces. The statues of Vince Lombardi and Curly Lambeau will move slightly, away from the Atrium’s entrance and towards the ground-level near the Pro Shop’s entrance.
But the bigger news is that, directly outside the Pro Shop’s new entrance, there will be a replica wall for fans to do their own Lambeau Leap on, as well as space behind the wall for others to pose with the Lambeau Leaper.
“We’re really excited about the new addition to Lambeau Field,” Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said in a statement on the team’s website. “The Lambeau Leap is one of the great traditions in the NFL and highlights the special connection between our players and fans. Our fans will now be able to experience their own Lambeau Leap.”
Expect those photos of your friends doing the Lambeau Leap to be popping up on Facebook this summer.
